What is InterVarsity?

InterVarsity is a community of college students and faculty on campuses across the country who don't have it all together but are learning. We want to bring justice to a messed up world, share the love of Jesus with our friends and become who God made us to be.

Every Corner, Every Campus

We want to establish and advance witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture,  and God’s purposes in the world. Be part of a multiethnic family seeking to follow Jesus with all of their lives to all of the campus!

We're all about discovering God together through Scripture. Every year, InterVarsity trains thousands of college students from every background to lead engaging and transformational Bible studies. We’ve been at it for a long time, and over the years we’ve discovered a tremendous secret that makes it possible for someone with even limited training to lead powerful Bible studies.

"One thing I really enjoyed about the first time I went to an inductive Bible study, was that for one of the first times in my life, I felt like I was discovering things about God from the Bible, rather than being told who God is. It led me to think more critically about what following Jesus meant and helped me see God more in my day to day life.

I joined InterVarsity because of the diverse group of students involved and the support and kindness of IV staff. I enjoy studying in the inductive method because it gives a clear guideline on how to study God’s Word. I’m excited about creating a supportive and safe space for students to interact with each other and grow spiritually.

Studying the book of Esther was challenging and very convicting for me. God opened my eyes to see how he cares for justice. I often view justice as a far-off issue that I am helpless against, but God showed me that we are to be obedient to Him and mourn and care for those around us. He hears our cries. What breaks our hearts also breaks his.

Find your Campus...

There are 38 colleges and universities in Arkansas and we long to see a movement of student-led Bible studies at all of them! Use the map to find your campus. If there's already an InterVarsity movement on your campus, you can get connected with others and even start something in a new corner of campus. If there's no InterVarsity, you could be the one to launch it!
